Recently, some of our electricians at a current project in Calgary took a short break from their work to pose for the featured picture, which Custom Electric is proud to share with our followers.
Traditionally, women have only comprised a small percentage of the registered trades workforce. However, the proportion of women in the trades has been steadily growing over recent years. Leadership by employers who have embraced more progressive and inclusive hiring policies, focused information towards attracting women into the trades, and other factors have positively led to the increase.
Regardless of how they find their way into the electrical trades, Custom Electric is excited to have them on our team. Women comprise a substantial and growing proportion of our workforce and we greatly value their contribution to Custom’s success.
