‘Leeding’ with green electrical contracting services
What is LEED®?
The most widely used green building rating system in the world, LEED® certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design®, is a rating system recognized in over 160 countries as the international mark of excellence for green building. Since 2002, the Canada Green Building Council® (CaGBC) and LEED Canada have redefined buildings and communities across Canada.
Why use LEED?
Custom Electric employs a LEED accredited professional project manager for its commercial, industrial and resident projects. With 35 percent of all greenhouse gases generated by buildings, developing greener structures can contribute to a more sustainable environmental future.
Incorporating LEED into your project can have a significant impact on your new or existing building. Building green means a healthier indoor environment for the people that live, work and play there. It means improved indoor air quality, the use of less harmful products, and increased natural daylight. A green building also means reduced waste, conserved energy and decreased water consumption — which can improve your bottom line and your productivity.
