In 1981 Custom Electric was Electrical Subcontractor for the construction of PanCanadian Petroleum’s new head office at 150 9th Avenue SW in downtown Calgary. PanCanadian Tower was a 30-story, 446,300 square foot office tower.
Over the next several decades, PanCanadian grew into one of Canada’s largest energy companies, EnCana. In 2013 Encana moved its head office from Encana Place to The Bow. In 2015, Encana Place was sold to Aspen Properties. Aspen renamed the building to The Edison and transformed the structure from a B-class office space into an amenity rich A-class building.
The transformation was amazing to witness, and Custom Electric is proud to have been part of the initial construction of this iconic building.
