In partnership with the Dome Facilities Association (DFA) and spearheaded by members of the sports community, The City of Calgary is building an air-supported dome over Encana Field’s artificial turf at Shouldice Athletic Park.
The project is an exciting addition to Shouldice Park, however, the project team learned in June that certain equipment essential to installing the facility’s exterior-rated power distribution system would be delayed until November. To meet this challenge, Custom Electric’s project team designed and installed a temporary power infrastructure that met project requirements, was approved by CANA, the project’s engineering firm, and was also approved by the City’s electrical inspector, keeping the project on schedule.
Inflation of the structure occurred recently and as Custom Electric’s project manager said, the inflation should be uplifting! Great work, team!
