SAIT’s School for Advanced Digital Technology (SADT) was established in 2020 with a $30 million gift from Calgary philanthropist David Bissett — a program built around the premise that digital skills are the defining currency of modern economies. The downtown campus location, at the Barclay Centre in the heart of Calgary, puts that mission where the industry is.
Custom Electric completed the electrical scope for the SADT build-out: an 18,000 square foot, two-floor tenant improvement that converted commercial office space into a purpose-built academic environment. The space includes cybertechnology classrooms designed for live simulated attack-and-defence scenarios, flexible collaboration and breakout areas, study spaces, and a kitchen.
It is a technically specific space — built for programs that demand precision — and the installation reflects that.
